Arbedenab the Arbiter was one of the three Primal Djinn created at the beginning of the universe, along with Ishtarru the Imperitor, and Idlenneahasar "Lenny" the Magister. Arbedenab's personality was the format for the Djinni's sense of law and order, and she was responsible for creating the structure of Djinni society and daily life.

[spoiler...]When Ishtarru began his quest to conquer a more magic-rich dimension, Arbedenab sided with him against Lenny on the grounds that a more magic rich world meant more stability for Djinni society. When Ishtarru was defeated, she was forced to contemplate whether or not she had made the correct choice.

When Arbedenab learned of Ishtarru's plan to sacrifice a human life in a bid to reconquer the worlds that the Djinni were bound not to attack, she attempted to stop him. Instead, Ishtarru, now completely mad with rage, managed to capture her Djinni powers in a magic gem. Before he stripped her magic and mind completely away, Arbedenab used the last of her power to whisk the orb to another dimension and transform it so that neither she (now an insane lackwit of a Djinn) nor Ishtarru could recover it. The aftermath of the struggle left her a husk of her former self, insane and nearly formless. The other Djinni, unaware of what had happened, began calling her Abby Normal, or just "Crazy Abby". [spoiler...]Centuries later her form was briefly restored when she saved Angelique the Djinn from eternity as a chicken at the height of the Djinni civil war. She restored Angie and told her the truth about the history of the Djinn. She saved Angie from being turned back into a chicken by taking her place and currently has the form of a large green chicken. [...hide spoiler]
