Abra-cat-dabra

Anne is upstairs practicing a spell to instantly dress herself when Lilly bursts into the room, chasing Maki. The cat leaps into Anne's arms just as she is finishing the incantation, and the result is, to Lilly's delight, a "big kitty!" Without the proper components for a reversal spell, Anne tries The Magic Touch, but finds it closed, so she pays a surprise visit to Robin. Rob suggests they could probably find the right components at the school science labs... right after they drop in on Jason for a quick scare.

The trio (along with Evan, who just wanted a relaxing evening, poor guy), slip into the high school with little trouble and just as little grace. Robin's clumsy entrance alerts Ivan, who's working late on the newspaper, to the presence of others in the building. Anne's feline instincts take over as she chases a mouse into the halls while the others aren't looking. There, she encounters the patrolling Ivan, and the two run scared from each other.

By the time Anne returns to the lab, the boys have assembled some components, and Anne whips up a makeshift spell. Ivan, in the meantime, has been fumbling to ready his camera for an exposé. He barges into the lab just as the erroneous spell is complete, in time to catch an eyeful of a freshly formed feline foursome (and he would have caught them on film, too, if he hadn't forgotten the first rule of photography: Always check the lens cap!). The reporter quickly notices his mistake, though, and wheels around to snap another photo. Unfortunately for him, Anne has already fashioned and cast a second spell, which is no more successful that the first in attempting to restore their forms, but effectively hides them from Ivan's view by turning them into mice.

Ivan retreats, dejected, giving Anne enough time to come up with a working restoration spell (after 6 more failed tries, that is). The crew return to their homes without incident, and Anne declares a two week hiatus on Lilly transformations as punishment for Evan.

In another dimension, we see Melleck Xaos planning an assault on the city of Fyord and looking forward to the day he can add the power of The Wotch to his own.
