Amaar has been the Imperitor of Djinni-kind for the centuries since the destruction of Ishtarru, the previous Imperator. He is a dimminutive blue Djinn that has a penchant for cigars and fine suits and a very low opinion of humanity. He was chosen to be Imperitor by Lenny the Magister upon the death of Ishtarru.

[spoiler...]To get revenge on the mortal world for the destruction of the Bottle of Ishtarru, a Djinni summoning bottle of cataclysmic power and treasure of Djinnikind, Amaar arranged for the abduction of Jason Grey, the bottle's last owner. This brought Anne, Robin, and Angelique to Genie World to save him. He tried to destroy Anne and her friends but was thwarted by Anne's powers as the Wotch. When Anne's true nature was revealed it activated the magic of the Stone of Ishtarru, which Amaar wore around his neck as his badge of office as Imperitor, and awoke the long dormant soul of the first Imperitor, Ishtarru. This invested him with an enormous amount of power, but he was still bested by the combined magic of Anne and Angelique, who proved that early videogame programmers had a glimpse of the cosmos when they made the vulnerable spot of most bosses a blinking red circle. After his destruction, the mantle of Imperator passed on to the Djinni Kali. [...hide spoiler]
