This answers questions about Anne and Robin, the authors of the Wotch, and it talks about the history of the comic and where it came from.


  1. Who made this comic?
    Anne Onymous and Robin Ericson. Others may help out from time to time; see the credits page for a complete list.

  2. Are your real names Anne Onymous and Robin Ericson?
    No. Those are both pseudonyms.

  3. Okay, so who are you really then?
    We prefer to keep our anonymity; hence the name Anne Onymous --- get it? Seriously, if you need to contact us, you can use e-mail or snail mail or IM, and we will try to answer quickly; but we prefer to keep our private lives to ourselves.

  4. Okay, so if you won't tell your real names, will you at least tell your real genders?
    Sorry, but only my mirror and my Significant Other know for sure.

  5. What is the relationship between this comic and other webcomics?
    None, except for Cheer! and Triquetra Cats. Although we're fans of other webcomics here, and host a few, and even provide forums for a few, there is no direct link of any kind between this story and that of any other webcomic save for the two named above.

  6. How do Anne and Robin make the comic?

  7. What's the relationship between the comic characters and the authors, since they have the same names?
    We thought it might be fun if we took on the personas of the characters in the comic instead of having separate "author" personas. It makes the story more alive, and makes it more interesting for the readers to be able to "talk" to the "characters" in the comic. It has caused a little confusion, but nothing people haven't been able to live with.

  8. I've heard some of the characters were inspired by real-life people. Which major characters were inspired by real-life people?
    Anne, Robin, and Jason; Yukio and Yukiyo; Evan/Lilly, Ivan, Oscar, Angie, Ming, Wolfie, Scott, Irene, Katie, Jennie, Tigerclaw, Elise, and James. And Ted is a character created by Anne's friend Tim Shrimpton, used with permission.
