Ishtarru the Imperitor was one of the three Primal Djinn created at the beginning of the universe, along with Arbedenab the Arbiter, and Idlenneahasar "Lenny" the Magister. Ishtarru was the format for the Djinni's pride and strength, and quickly assumed a position as the Djinni leader.

[edit] The Bottle of Ishtarru

The Bottle of Ishtarru was once a normal Djinn Bottle, but one day it came into the posession of the Djinni Imperitor Ishtarru. By adding some of his own magic to the bottle, which had been crafted by a powerful human spellcaster already, he was able to curse it. The curse caused the powers of any Djinn summoned through the bottle to be enhanced greatly while at the same time becoming uncontrolled. Djinni bound to the bottle were compelled to grant any wish by anyone in earshot of the bottle. While summoned through the bottle the Djinn is unable to return home as normal. However, after a long enough wait wth no wishes, the Djinn can return home. There are only two previous cases of a Djinn being summoned through the bottle: One being to the city of Pompeii, and the other to the city of Atlantis. As history tells, neither ended well.

[edit] Immortal Ambition

[spoiler...]After a time Ishtarru learned that, because of their home dinension, the strength of his people was limited, and was dwindling as his people multiplied. Ishtarru, not content with the Djinni lot in existense, attempted to improve their position by conquering a dimension where magic, the lifeblood of a Djinn, flowed freely. He was thwarted by a massed army of human spellcasters and warriors who fought alongside one of his own, the Magister. He was driven into a new Djinni realm with his people and bound by magic to serve the humans that bested him. Ishtarru's pride turned his fury at the defeat into an all consuming madness. He conceived of a plan to conquer or destroy all those who would use the power of the Djinni, and created two magical artifacts: The Stone and Bottle of Ishtarru. When she found out about his plan to conquer the universe Arbedenab the Arbiter attempted to stop him but Ishtarru was prepared. He used another magical gem to capture and store the Arbiter's magic, thus neutralizing her as a threat. Arbedenab was rendered into a withered crone of a Djinni, insane and broken.

To solidify his plan he needed to sacrifice the life of a human spellcaster. He kidnapped a young apprentice girl and was going to break the locks that bound his people to Genie World. He was stopped by the combined efforts of two humans: An anonymous woman calling herself the Wotch and Melleck Xaos, the Worlock of Order, powerful human magic-users from another dimension. As he was destroyed Ishtarru transferred some of his essence into the stone of Ishtarru, where it lay in wait for revenge. [...hide spoiler]
