Artemis Jameston is a very powerful mage and an old enemy of Miranda from her days as the Wotch.He attempted to draw on the magic of the Earth's moon and many other moons, using the lunar magic to make himself more powerful. His spells began to tear a hole in the fabric of reality. He was stopped by one other than Melleck Xaos, The Worlock, who closed to rift he created and transformed Jameston into a werewolf as a way to test Anne's power.She defeated him, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
