Kohain is Xaos's trusted right hand man. A loyal servant, Kohain trusts and obeys his Master to his full extant. Unlike many minions in other stories, he doesn't seem to have any intention to betray or take over. Kohain has enough sense to understand that if he wasn't fit to be ruler, it would be best to be at the ruler's right hand. He sought out the fabled destroyer of the Kalimundi empire, Melleck Xaos and awakened him, pledging everlasting allegiance. However, Kohain will occasionally go outside of his authority and attack the Wotch without Xaos's permission, something Xaos tolerates. Lately his missions have been focused on devising tests for The Wotch to further her abilities. Details of why remain a mystery, though it is most likely related to the prophesied "joining" of the Wotch (Anne) and the Worlock (Xaos).
