[edit] Complete summary
[spoiler...]Two months after the Mythos Virus outbreak, Angelique is having trouble making a life for herself on Earth when she runs into an old friend: a fellow djinn named Kali, who says she's here on a mission from Amaar, the genie boss.
Jason gets kidnapped by genies, and Anne, Robin, and Angelique decide that they're bad enough dudes to rescue him. Using the lamp Kali came through, Angelique takes Anne, Robin, and Kali to the genie homeworld. Not long after they arrive, however, Kali's prejudice against humans leads her to call the guards on Anne and Robin, who are quickly captured and taken to Amaar. Angelique is shocked at the depth of her friend's hatred of humans.
Amaar exposits to a statue of Ishtarru, the ancient genie Imperitor, about his plan to fulfill Ishtarru's dream for the djinn race. All he needs is the one who sealed the Bottle of Ishtarru....
Anne and Robin escape, and Anne uses a locator spell to find Jason. Meanwhile, Angelique sneaks into Amaar's castle and finds Jason first. She rescues him and disguises him as a female genie (naturally, making him look like a genie version of Sonja) so nobody will recognize him. As they meet up with Anne and Robin, Anne's locator spell suddenly goes screwy and leads them elsewhere, deep into the castle basement. Curious, they follow it to a giant mural that tells the story of GenieWorld's history with... the Wotch!
Thousands of years ago, Ishtarru created the bottle in an attempt to gain free access to Earth without being bound to grant wishes. To that end, he kidnapped a young girl who had cast magic upon the bottle, and was about to sacrifice her when suddenly, two mortals, the Wotch and the Worlock, arrived to rescue the girl. After an epic battle, the Wotch and the Worlock defeated Ishtarru, who swore that someday he would return to conquer Earth.
Suddenly, Anne is knocked out as Amaar and his guards catch them. The humans are captured and dragged away, as Amaar, now aware that Anne is the one who sealed the bottle, prepares for the ritual that will make Ishtarru's dream a reality.
Angelique and Kali cross paths again and get into a heated argument. Kali is disgusted by Angelique's sympathy for the humans, while Angelique is furious at Kali for turning her friends over to Amaar. Angelique renounces their friendship and storms off.
Thousands of genies gather for the ritual. Amaar, now wearing a gem once worn by Ishtarru, prepares to sacrifice an unconscious Anne to open a portal that will allow genies to invade Earth with their full powers intact. But at the last moment, Anne comes to and repels Amaar. Angelique frees Robin and Jason, who Anne imbues with temporary fighting skills. As they fight off Amaar's guards, Amaar calls on the crowd of genies for assistance.
Suddenly, Angelique addresses all the genies and urges them to let go of their ancient grudge against humankind. She believes that, regardless of the wrongs done in the distant past, they have a good life here in GenieWorld now, and that it's time they moved on and made peace with humanity. Kali steps up and implores the crowd not to listen to Angelique, calling her a traitor. As they argue, a magical battle ensues between Amaar and Anne, who proves to be more than a match for Amaar. When Robin boasts that Anne is the Wotch, Amaar's gem suddenly sparks to life, empowering Amaar with the essence of Ishtarru himself!
In another dimension, Xaos watches the battle, pleased.
Amaar transforms into a far more powerful fusion of himself and Ishtarru, and attacks Anne again. Angelique tries to help, but is stopped by Kali. As the former friends battle, Amaar-Ishtarru begins to get the better of Anne, and proceeds to reanimate and shatter the bottle, summoning the magical energy of every genie bottle and lamp on Earth to open the portal. Angelique defeats Kali, and she and Anne combine their powers to destroy Amaar-Ishtarru's gem, obliterating both Amaar and Ishtarru.
With Amaar dead, Kali steps up to take his place and orders the guards to kill the humans. However, two other genies who have been swayed by Angelique's words step in to stop the guards. Several genies who agree with Angelique urge the crowd to forget about conquering Earth and focus on their lives in GenieWorld. Other genies refuse to abandon Ishtarru's dogma, and ardently side with Kali. The argument escalates into a civil war, as Angelique watches in horror. She urges Anne, Robin, and Jason through the rapidly-closing portal to Earth, opting to stay behind in GenieWorld.
Just before the portal closes, it deposits Anne, Robin, and Jason in Tandy Forest Park, right on top of a boy Jason (as Sonja) gave his number to during the Mythos outbreak. Since Jason still looks like Sonja, the guy takes this as a sign as the trio run off.
Back home, Jason, saddened at having lost Angelique again, finds Kali's lamp still in his bedroom. He rubs it, and... nothing happens.
Two days later, Anne visits the Magic Touch, and tells Milo that she is the Wotch. Before she can even finish asking if Milo has any books about that, he produces a large book labeled only as "Wotch", and tells Anne she can have it for free. After she leaves, Milo calls someone and tells them he gave Anne the book, as requested. Before he can ask any questions, the person hangs up on him.
