Avriem Xiliarkos is a powerful mage and a member of the Resistance. In an effort to forestall further deaths he betrayed the resistance by handing over the Pearl of De'Kashra to the enemy. When Xaos ordered the resistance to be destroyed, Avirem teleported them out of the desert to safety, staying behind himself. His ultimate fate is unknown: He may be dead, one of the Fallen, or a prisoner of Xaos.
Defore they were seperated, Avirem was teaching more sophisticated magics to young Theodore.
